Toddler behavior

My son purposefully hits his head on things. Sometimes the floor, wall, bed rail, and even the bathtub. He never hits himself hard enough to leave a mark or make himself cry. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know why they do this? Do they grow out of it?

Does he do this when he is angry? A LOT of toddlers do that and if you ignore the bahavior, he will probably stop it. That can be really hard to do, but it works. If he gets a rise out of you, the behavior will continue longer.
Todlers are funny little people! :O)

He is not angry when he does it. He just does it and then looks up at you. You're right though. Toddlers are funny little people.
