How much is the price of rice in your country?

I come from China.In my country,rice is the leading food in people's dish.In common supermarket,we can buy rice in $0.2-$0.5 per pound.Yesterday one of my friend who are from USA told me that he buy rice in supermarket in $3 per 5 pound.I think the price is not cheap.How much is the price of rice in your country?

Well, here in our country, the currency is not in dollar. In the market, you can buy one kilo of rice for 16-30+ php (pesos) depending upon the quality of the rice. It is quite high, however.

Hi Huying! I am from the Philippines and rice is our staple food. Rice here cost around $0.50-$1.00 depending on the quality of rice you are purchasing. Rice here is expensive even though we are an agricultural country due to many factors such as drought, typhoons and our country is also importing rice from other countries despite of the supply that we have.
