When you are due to start work at a new job do you get very nervous and anxious about it? What are they going to think of you? Are you capable of doing the job right? Are they happy with the decision they made when they hired you? Do these thoughts go through your head?
I have been out of the workforce for 2 years now and recently got hired. I have done this type of work before but over 4 years ago. I am nervous about it I am excited but I do feel so jittery about beginning work. I always get like that the first few days I begin working until I get the hang of things.
How do you feel when you begin work on your first day? I do better at the interviews and am less nervous then. What about you?

Yeah, I do got jitters when I started on my first job a couple of mnths back.. Though I have left that job now, I was really feeling very nervous on my first day at office.. But after my first day, I was really relaxed with everything, as I had got to know about many things on the first day itself.. After I left that job, when I got into another company, I was not much nervous like I was in my first one.. Those jitters happen to u only once.. Afterwards, u r used to them...

The funny thing is i don't get nervous at all until about a week into the job, i go in, learn what i have to, get my stuff done, and then suddenly when everything starts calming down i get nervous and start to panic, i don't know why but it always has me quitting before my 2 weeks is up.
I've decided to look for a job again and this time stick with it, i know it's going to be hard but i just don't know where to start :P
Congrats on the new job :)

New job jitters is just a normal thing to fee. It's like as if you are entering a new life, meet new people. You are also uncertain of what to expect from the company, your boss and the people that you will work with.

YES I do. Whether its a new job, the same kind or anything.I am always nervous the first few days, sometimes week. Plus I get shy till I am at ease so most of the first few weeks I am a bit more quiet till I open up. Its how I am and in part its because I am nervous too.

i experienced those same jitters when i started here in my present job.i quit my job 3 years ago because i needed complete bedrest for my baby. i was only able to look for a job when he turned 1 1/2. it was a long time that i was unemployed so naturally when i was accepted here it seems i cant get my act together! it seems i have forgotten a lot of things. luckily, after about a week memories flowed back continuously and i was able to cope with my job. it was as if i was never away at all..
