We have seen the popularity of the 20-Twenty World Cup. It was exciting end of the first ever 20-Twenty world cup. Now almost everyone connected with technical aspects of the game will say that the cricketing skills are not really tested in this form of cricket. Even some said that ODI also does not really test the crecketing skills. However, in ODI the teams have chances to improve even after commiting some blunders. Whereas in 20-20 even one over can change the result of the match. Now the point of discussion is that are we going to see too many 20-Twenty matches just as we satrted to have ODI numbers constantly increasing? The popularity of 20-Twenty indicates that it is true? What is your idea about it?

surely t20 is going to dominate in sometime as people are entertained manifold in minimum time . one thing i would like to infer is that cricketing skills are tested as equally as in odi's in this format of the game too . logical explanation is that in 50-50 games players need to show thier skill of bouncing back or say sustaining setbacks during the game while the margin of error is so thin in t20 that the players need to show the skill of flawless batting , bowling and fielding . the squeezed number of overs demands from the captain accurate computerised decisions while in 50-50 the captain has time to correct his wrong moves . so both the versions demand skillfull players in different contexts .

T20 has become very popular now and in fact it was clever of the ICC to have started the T20 in south africa because that is the place where 2020 is very popular. But the importance of 50 overs game will not be reduced. It has its own beauty. 50 overs game involve strategy in a very advanced level of thinking and thats a real beauty of the game. The 50 overs game is the land where one can actually show his talent. The T20 matches are only about scoring high runs for the team. And even a tail ender will do that by just going for high shots instead of shots with nice foot work.

So, the technique does not matter much. So the crecketing skills and not really tested...Okay. But you know the popularity of the game is equally important for its growth. Now the question is that looking to the popularity of the game should we have many 20-20 matches? Won't it kill the basic essencde of the game?

I would personally feel that one day international is more entertaining and also test cricket is more the "real" cricket than other versions. Because it gives equal opportunity to both bowling and batting.

I for one is a cricket fan, period!! I mean I love all forms of the game. I love the fast pacy T-20 cricket, more so now that we are the champions. I love the more tactical one dayers. Of course, test cricket with its sustained aggression and doggedness is another great joy to watch. So in all I continue to follow all the three forms of cricket and will continue to do so as we go forward. Cheers! Ram

both the twenty20 and odi has its own beauty,2020 shows the talent of both the bowlers n the batsmen the pressure under which plaiers are playing is released.the minimum preassure on batsman is to be seen the team work n the strategical aspects in the 2020 is lesser then odi.no doubt 2020 build up the confidence in the batsman yuvraj sing could not be able to his 6 6ss in odi but in 2020 he did it because he was free without preassur.odi is the game of stratagy the opners have to plqy the game under preassure.nowadays in india and australya one who wint the toss wins the game,in odi batsmen have to bear the preassure for 50 overs and in 2020 comparetively no preassure.
