Your friend is sad because she has an ill loved one, how would you comfort her?

I just received an sms message from my best friend from high school asking me to pray for her father. He has colon cancer. Although I wasn't very familiar with her father, I'm really going to pray for him because I want him to recover and I want my friend and her family to see how God works in mysterious ways. But, I'm worried about my friend, I can't imagine how she is taking this situation. What do you think would be a good way to comfort her?

Very sorry to hear that. Help me to send your regards to your friend and her father. I think the best way to comfort her is to provide her with a listening ear and to be there for her. She needs to brace herself as her daddy should be feeling scared now. She must be strong so as to provide the emotional support for her daddy. May God bless her and I'll pray for her too.
