Was Boromir(Sean Bean) killed by the orcs? It seems after being shot three times he still emerged later in the movie.
Second question: I did not see Elrond(Hugo Weaving) in any of the latter battles. If he didn't fight during the time of Frodo, why not? And what was his position? Was he a leader or king of a group of beings?

Boromir was killed by Uruks(A type of Orcs made by Saruman, which were stronger). He didn't emerge later if you are talking about that time when Pippin heard the talk of Denethor(steward of gondor). Pippin was thinking or if you were talking about when he said "This city has been reclaimed for Gondor"It was just Faramir's thought. Elrond as in book was the leader of elves in rivendell he didn't got the ring himself but the ring was given to him by Gilgalad the elven king.He did fight during the war of the ring but not in those battles where aragorn and other fellows of the the fellowship
fought. He fought with Orcs with Glorfindel on his side.
If you want the books and videos reply to me.

Yes, Boromir was killed by the uruk'hai leader of the orc band sent to get Frodo. It's true that he still kills some ors after being shot several times, but is finally killed. His body is put into a boat and sent into the waterfall on the river.
Elrond appeares only in the initial battle when Sauron is defeated and the ring goes to Isildur. Now he is the leader of the Elves and he is taking them back into the west, where they came from. That is why he doesn't join the fight himself. At a time he actually says he is tired of fighting (elves are immortal beings). Nevertheless, he sends an army to help defend Helm's Deep.
