Do you think Reign Over Me is relevent in todays society?

Personally I feel that this film is very relevant because of what is going on in society today. The one thing i think is missing that is in the film but not as often in society is the compassion. I think we often feel compassion for others when it is most convenient and if the issue is widely published. I dont mean to sound harsh but I think that many have given up on others, their feelings and their thoughts. It frustrates me and I was wondering if you see the same thing as often as i do. I however try to keep my eyes open and show compassion to as many as i can, daily. Just a thought...
