Is politics waste of time?

Some people said politics is such a waste of time, after you voted for them, when they get what they want they forgotten you anymore, and some people said, they only using you for this... so what do you think of politics?

I hate politics, but voting for political parties is something we are lucky to be able to do, to have that right to have a say is a must. I think political parties must be made more accountable though, in some way they should be made to keep their promises as like a contract and the people should make sure they do not vote a party back again in the next election if the party does not measure up.

I think that politics is not a wast of time. I am a political science student and it has a lot to do with our everyday life.
