How many kids?

How many children do you have now, and how many did you plan on having when you were a kid? I didn't plan on having any - said I never wanted to be a mom. Now I have two kids (one 19 and one 12) and they are the greatest things that ever happened to me, but I'm done - no more babies!

you know, I always thought having twins would be neat, but after having my son, I think, "I could have had TWO of him?" and I'm not so sure I could have handled that...LOL

totally agreed - everything happens for a reason. We may never know the reason, but it does. I'm sorry for your loss, but so glad you have your precious one!

I dreamed of being a mom from the time i waws 7. I always said i was going to have 10 kids but ended up only having 4. 3 boys and finally a girl

Well i would have liked to have 1 more but after 4 C-sections my body couldnt take anymore. but yes im glad i didnt have 10. Dont think i could have handled that many. I would have loved to have twins on my last one but I am happy with the 4 i have.

I have 3 kids. I always use to say when I was younger that I wanted 2 kids. I wanted a boy first then a girl. But of course it didn't work out that way. I had a girl first, then a boy, then another girl.

I was lucky - I wanted a girl first and got that, then I got a boy - one of each... but it rarely works out exactly like we want it to.

6 twins or 6 sets of twins - that would be 12...

I never thought I would be a mom either. I have always loved babies and kids, but never thought I would ever be a mom. Well, things definitely changed, and it was worth every minute, even when I wonder what the heck my husband and I were thinking. :)

My sons are 2.5 and 4.5 and I have a 6.5 year old stepdaughter. My tubes are tied and we are done. :)

I have shaken my head numerous times saying, "Why did I ever have kids?" but then, when my son comes and gives me a hug for no reason and says, "I love you!" I remember why I had kids...thanks for the comment!

I have no kids. I want kids, though. My plan was to have my first child at the age of 25. I'm 30 now, so.... oh well.

(chuckle) funny how that happens, eh? Also, I love how we all wanted to plan genders.. we don't get to do that!!! (chuckle)
When my daughter went to school, I had a bit of that empty nest sydrome, so I had another one - 7 years after my first... what WAS I thinking!

I have a 16 month old boy. I used to want a boy and one girl. I have my boy and now not sure if I want anymore. From the beginning of pregnancy I had it hard, a long labor, months of a colicky baby, and now he still cries for everything and gets angry a lot. I am a calm person and he really tests my patience. I love him though and he is beginning to have more fun too. It is hard getting used to parenting. I just don't know if I want to start all over again.

My daughter was much easier as a baby all the way around than my son... my son has tested my patience too. You'll get the hang of it, trust me! It wasn't until my daughter started kindergarten that I decided to have another one. I know now, with my kids at 19 and 12, I do NOT want to start all over again.

I have one so far. I want 1 or 2 more. When i was a little girl i think i said i wanted to have twins. In high school i said i only wanted them if i found the right guy

I have two kiddos, had my first really young. I always knew I would have babies, I just expected it would be around this time in my life that I would start. But, things turned out different and I am so glad that they did! I love them more than anything!

I had my first at 16 myself. I'm 35 now, and she turned 19 yesterday... my son is 12... I'm still going to be young enough to enjoy my life when they are both finally on their own. everything for a reason, huh?

I was never going to have children. My motto was "I don't do weddings and I don't do babies", well I did both in the same year. Today I have a 16 yr. old son, and a 13 yr. old daughter and I'd be lost without them. But thanks to a doctor and his cotterizing(sp?) knife, I don't do anymore babies.

LOL, I knew we had a lot in common - swore I'd never marry, never have kids, and now...
Well, I'm a single mom now, but I love being a mom - it's my greatest accomplishment.

I always wanted to have a house full...6, 7 maybe even 8!!! Now, I am a single mom of one little girl, who is my world, don't get me wrong, but I now want to stop after one more! Sometimes, I still think about having a few more, but then, she wakes up from her nap, or real life hits me again! I am glad, however, that I did have my daughter!

LOL, I was kinda the same... I have one boy, one girl, and that's enough for me. Real life hits me daily - my son is severe ADHD with emotional distburance and hearing impairment. He keeps me guessing, and I simply adore him, but he take a lot of time and patience.

I don't have any children yet because I've just gotten married a few months ago. However, my husband and I would like to have 2 kids. I would love to have a girl and a boy but we'll see how it all works out! Twins run in my husband's family, so we'll see what happens with that as well!

I have always wanted to have four children. Right now we have two, but are planning on having two more! My husband only wanted two when we first got married, but after having these two...he wants two more as well! LOL
