I consider myself more spiritual than religious. I am not comfortable with tradtional relgions where you sit in a building following the instructins of a religous leader. I'm also not comfortable around a lot of people. I prefer doing my worship in a place of nature; in a garden or in the privacy of my own home. I am a Witch. However I respect all religions.

Like you I'm not found of organized religions and am very spiritual.
I just don't get all the dogma. Plus I think that no one religion has hit it completely on the head (so to speak) and that's why I like exploring them all and taking what feels right to me from them.

The earth based religions make so much sense to me too. I often say I'm a Gnostic Witch LOL.

Hi GnosticGoddess I too like exploring different forms of spiritualities. The one's that I feel in tuned to are the Earth based religions. I consider myself an eclectic solitary Witch.

I respect peoples right to believe what they want but I am not what is known as religious, but I do believe in spiritual connections, the fact that there are so many books out there of THE book makes me think there can only be one so which one, it is better to believe in your own inner feelings...

Hi LilacLady I believe that there are many paths to the Divine. We each need to find our own individual path. No path is wrong. The problem that I had when I was a born again Southern Baptist Christian was Witnessing. The idea of some one going up to a stranger & telling them that what they believed in is wrong & if they didn't believe in what you believed in was wrong & if they didn't believe in what you believed that they were going to hell is wrong Hell how do you know what they believe is wrong if you don't know what the believe. I do believe that Christ is a way to the divine but he is not the only way!

Like you I am spiritual rather than religious....Religion has far too many flaws IMO...I'm at peace walking my spiritual Pagan path on my own..I also find that being spiritual can and generally (for me anyway) meshed right into everything I do..whereas religion its almost like you have to work at it to make it fit in your life continuously ya know....Does that make sense? LOL havent had my morning coffee yet :-/

Hi RavenLadyj what you said make perfect sense. Religion has so many rules & thou shalts & That shalt nots. I look at spirituality being more open & free. As long as you are'n doing something that causes hare to anyone including yourself then you should feel free to do it.

If you mean that I believe in spirits and am into nature worship and Wicca, then I am not spiritual. If you mean that I do things by rote, and sit in Church and to me a sermon is a pedantic talk about verses in the Bible and their application, then I am not religious.
However if you mean, the spirit of God moves in me and controls my life, and am saved through Jesus Christ and every aspect of my life is in HIS presence, I am spiritual. And if I faithfully attend Church and listen to the Word of God as preached in the pulpit, and I consider myself a member of my Church, then I am religious.

I consider myself well I dont know what the difference is. As a Christian, I follow the bible, but I do not like live in a bubble. But yet I hold higher standards. However, my relationship is with Jesus Christ and so its more like a relationship then a religious thing I guess. So I dont know which that is, but I am that. Sorry I confused myself and probably you too.

I think I am more spiritual than religious..I used to be very religious but when you see what all goes on and what all the people do that is soooo wrong it sorta makes you lose heart...I think if someone goes to church and sits on a pew they should do what they are suppose to do if they are going to attend that church, but there are a lot of hypocrits in church, they go and they stand behind the church and when church is over they do every thing they are not supposs.to...Religion has disappointed me a lot so i would say i am more spiritual now days..

I'm a bit more religious than spiritual for I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ. However I don't go to church, maybe I should, but I don't feel the "need" to for I can talk to Him at home just as I can at church.

I am much more spiritual than religious although I was raised Catholic by my Mother. My Father was Baptist and his Father was a Baptist Minister.
Most of the spirituality came from working in a Native American Jewelry store and I found myself tending to like their ways and how they believed.
I consider myself psychic to some extent,... a medium to some extent,... but never carried on any rituals in that sense, or pursued my abilities further. I have had many paranormal experiences, and living with ghosts are second nature to me.
This is a great question and I'm not quite sure what exactly I am, lol!........And, I also completely respect other people's religions.
