What are some good board games that also take some amount of thought? I am looking for more creative board games that are outside of monopoly and such.

have you ever played risk? Its a take over the world sort of board game. I've only played it once before as a kid, but from what i remember it takes some thought. the object is to take over other peoples countries.

yes, i have played risk, there is also a really cool adaptation of risk called risk 2210 or somewhere along those lines. These are the type of board game i am looking for, ones that take a little skill and isnt all luck.
