The National Historical Institute, the official arbiter in such matters as the way Lupang Hinirang should be sung, encourages every Filipino to sing the national anthem in its original arrangement - a BRISK MARCH. This calls for vigorous singing, a full-throated song that begins and closes in one minute.
If you think Kyla sang it with gusto, sang it loud, did not mumble the words, did not mouth the lyrics and if she gasped for air at the end, that means Kyla has sung it the correct way, but not necessarily the BEST way.
Let any brass band play the anthem, you will be amazed how a brisk march song like Lupang Hinirang is played.

Hi leah_ramirez! i agree with you completely. I do like Kyla's rendition and I like the way she looks and carried herself infront of all those people because she really is the perfect and true picture of a Filipina, simple, decent and elegant. Take care and have a nice day.
