Do you change your cell phone very often? Some of my classmates change their cell phones twice a month.Their reason is the old one is not fresh to them and they need the new one with more fashionable functions.I think it's a kind of waste.I wont change my cell phone until it goes broken.

I almost change my cell phone within a month. Thats not a problem at all. And all those who think that one must be rich to do so I can just say come and see the way I do it. One just need to make good savings out of pocket money and to sell the previous one in good price. Also I prefer second hand Cell phones as I know I will change it soon so the price gets low automatically. If you can manage the cell and money you get even you can change things regularly.

I change the CELL because i want to use something uncommon. Almost every new cell gets sommon in a month thats why i change it.I give importance to uniqueness rather than the features. these days many ppl have cell phone whats differentiates is the uniqueness.

I change my cell phone when the battery starts wearing out. I'd say about once every three years. I don't think I need all of the functions many of the new cell phones have.

I checked your profile and found that your hometown is Suzhou which is one of the richest city of China. That can explain your classmate's consumer behavior. They are rich kids being proud of being with current fathion, right? You do right things. It is absolutely a kind of waste.I'm not that kind of fashionalbe guy too. I bought a new cellphone for 9 month ago. I have used my last cellphone for at least 4 years until I dropped it on the floor and busted it.

You must have really rich classmates! I don't even change my phone once a year. Maybe once in 2 years, if there's a feature in the cell phone that I really like. When the camera phones came out, I really wanted to get one because I love taking pictures. So I went out and bought one. But I don't think it's practical to change phones because the new ones are more fashionable. It's a luxury that the rich have, I guess.

hi cici! well, not very often. i used to change phones every one year and a half, or even two years. just until i can still sell it and use the money to finance part of the price of a new one.
but now that i have a subscription, they give me a new phone every 1.5 years. i am happy with whatever phone that they give me. :-) i don't buy anymore.

I don't often change my cellphone. Especially I am satisfied with my smartphone at present and I don't have a big reason to change it. If I am going to buy a new cellphone, then it must have Wifi function and the operating system is at least WM5.0 because my smartphone is a little bit old and therefore it is without these two functions.

Well, I would normally change it once in one or two years since the cell phone will really be broken in this time period.:)
With kind regards,Andy

Gee...that's SO crazy! I'm with you, cici. I also change my mobile phone only when it's broken. I don't need to follow trends. It's better to save the money and use it for a more useful purpose he he he...

that is very wasteful, I havent changed my phone in 2 years, its still in style and very rare actually and it does look good, i get very many admiring stares from alot of people who havent seen such a phone before anywhere and many people have offered to buy it from me at three times the current market price ! But I wouldnt want to change my phone because its got too much sentimental value for me to part with it. It saved me from boredom during my first year of college, by serving as a portal to the outside world ! Plus its got so many awesome features which many phones that come out today lack. The only thing that i hate about my phone is that it mono, so I cant really enjoy music, but then what the heck, whats my Ipod there for !!

I have changed my mobile phone two times, my first mobile phone was a black&white one (nokia)that i changed in 2004, than i brought another nokia colour phone last year i changed that one with a motorola (camera/gprs). The main reason for such change is to incorporate latest technology .

I'm not that rich and I have other responsibilities to make use of money, so I don't have the luxury or time to cahnge my mobile phone. I think that's what youngsters see to cellphones, they treat it as a sort of social status. For me, as long as I have the important features I can use in communicating then that is enough for me.
