The Marine (Movies vs. Book)

I LOVED reading The Marine. This book made me laugh a lot, it was action packed...very well written and entertaining through out! I would recommend this book to ANY one who loves to read, doesn't matter what genre's they prefer. This book is a genre of it's own!
But the movie...my gosh! Don't see this movie...well...if you want to see how awful it is compared to the book than see it, and Laugh! That's what I did.
I'm not sure which came first (there are pictures from the movie in the book) but the book is def better. If you saw the movie, liked it, but didn't read the book...read it! You'll be 100% more satisfied with the book! :)

does it say when it was published on the book? then we can know which came first book or movie.
i thought the movie was nice , John Cena did nail the marine attitude part though.
tough guy- i aint got no time to bleed thing .
i would be checking out the book too. thanks for recommending

Yeah John Cena is def. a tough guy! I think he could destroy anyone! lol. I can understand why someone who didn't read the book would like the movie, but you def. should read the book! :) It's great!

Ive not read or seen this movie, I actually like reading the book versus seeing a movie. I think the book gives more details to things and it is more intense since you see it sort of in your own way. Your imagination is more vivid and in control than when your watching a movie.
I suppose this is about a Marine? LOL Not even heard of this, Ill have to look it up and give it a try! Thanks!

Well...it has a Marine in it! lol. The wrestler John Cena plays the guy =P lol. He isn't a very good actor X.X But kind of hot! lol.
The movie tried to be like the book, have it's funny moments and stuff..but...it just didn't work. The acting wasn't very good and it did it's action sequences kind of cornily.

Haha I know who John Cena is, and I can only imagine what a horrible actor he is. lol
I would be more interested in the book really. I dont think films ever live up to the book. :)

I haven't read the book.I was planning on seeing the movie though. I'll look for the book at our library. Then I'll wait until the movie comes out to rent. Then I wont waste a ton of money on a bad flick. Thanks for the tip.

John Cena was definitely HOT and is definitely tough and although I haven't read the book and you are probably right that the book portrays the story much better - I would still have watched the movie just to see John Cena!!

Yeah I'm not saying John Cena isn't hot, he def. is lol. I usually don't like wrestles, but he's pretty hot! lol.

Movies are always bad when you got wrestlers trying to be actors. The again, they act in wrestling, so i can see why Hollywood continues giving them movies to star in.

lol yeah. well, it wasn't that good ;P But man....he is one of the few wrestles I think is cute...as long as he isn't wearing wrestling attire...lol.
