The ligitamate survey sites can't use your personal information for anything else but the survey company, and even then they just give them your race, gender, age, hat state you live in, and country of origin, plau sometimes your income...but they don't put a name or any other info that would link that stuff to an actual individual. I'm sure there are some illegitimate survey sites out there that use your personal information the wrong way, but the igger companies do not.

I have been doing survey sites for a while, usually in your profile you are asked personal questions about yourself and the members in your household. I do give my personal information for these profiles since this is how they determine what surveys you are eligible to do, the more info the more surveys you usually get. Now in a regular survey I give my true personal info almost all the time, usually when you choose "prefer not to answer" you may be disqualified from the survey. Some survey sites ask more questions about personal information than others.
