well, I actually am pretty gosh darn weird compared to most people. I have canvas tote-bags that I keep in my car that can be used over and over again. It's a good way to keep from enviromentally damging our earth and it also saves the stores money, which in turn, saves you money as well.

Yeah, I get plastic but because it's easier to carry. I do recycle them though;)

As far as I am aware you can't get groceries packed in paper here so we have to use plastic bags but I always keep hold of them and either reuse them myself or take them back to the supermarket where they can be recycled. I used to have major issues about plastic carrier bags but at least now there are facilities available to be able to recycle them. Certain supermarkets have actually started making biodegradable plastic bags too so thats excellent!

I prefer paper, but none of our stores use paper bags any more...just plastic. We're supposed to recycle our newspapers by putting them by the curb in paper bags. Can't do that any more, so we just tie string around them now. So far, they are still being picked up on Saturday mornings.
