I know nothing about programming and many things about site building etc etc but i want to have my own site. I know I need a pre built site and almost eveything ready to go, also i need a good hosting company affordable too as this is my first site and i don't know how it iwll go. So which one will be better for me? i have found many like bluehost, hostmonster, yahoo---they are giving about 7.77/Mo with easy site building tools, domain name and hosting but I am not sure i can build my site with those tools. I am just very much confused about it. Can anybody help me in this respect

the best thing i can think of right off hand is http://nanocms.kalyanchakravarthy.net It has a WYSIWYG editor that looks sort of like word and is free. and for hosting, probably http://freehostia.com which is free of course :) all you need to do it is a FTP program!

If you didn't purchase a domain, you should go with godaddy.com. Domains there are about $8.95 a year just starting out. You will receive a free hosting credit, email, and blog as well. What type of web site are you looking to build exactly? I think I would be able to help you out. I have programs that I use to build my sites with like Dreamweaver and HTML Validator.

I am trying to start with a very common "Work From Home" etc type site. Later I want to move on something else. Now i have no idea about programming or anything, even very very little knowledge about hTML so even if you give me some software its probabply hard for me to get them ready. Are you programmer or IT professional? Then may be it would be very helpful for me. Well, about Godaddy, I researched many webmaster's forum and found they sometime certainly close customer's account without proper reason, reat are good with them but this is a bad problem. So even though i have already visited Godaddy sit for a few times by now, I just am confused or scary about that. Also only domain is from Yahoo, right now 9.90/year right now but only domain isn't that much helpful for me but may be this way i ave to go finally, one by one buying domain and then hosting and then the templates. Do you know if i can buy the template from somewhere? I will be able to modify it and add or delete form it but I need the primery set up. Thanks for your help and reply. Its a great help for me

I program and design web sites on a self-taught basis. My portfolio can be found on http://www.bostwickdesigns.com. I have on there some clients I had either helped build or modifiy web sites. As for Godaddy, I've never had a problem with them and I got 2 domains from them. If you would like a template, I will design one for you. My email address is on there, actually there are 2 different ones business-related. It shouldn't be too difficult, if you want to go further with it and want some extra help setting it up, I would be happy to do so. After I set it up, perhaps I could try to teach you some tricks with HTML/XHTML and CSS if you want.

It really depends on what you are wanting the site for. The best personal one I have found so far is on Microsoft live. Its free and the tools are really simple. You choose your background and then it give you little "windows" to type text into. Its very very easy and they have help if you have any questions. Hope this helps.

I am trying to start with some work from home or Home based earning type material. later may be i can move on to some other topic when i will have some experience with everything. Well, I told many people here about Microsoft Live when they were asking here about good free website....etc but I have got a problem with them. I recently moved from US to UK and currently I have no Credit card with my current address also no land phone but they need these two to prove my authentication. i have already tried with my US credit card but as my address ahs all changed and no phone to verify it so they are telling its not possible to give me the free offer. I was so sad, I have tried not only once but a few times. They were aso able to deduct $1from my card but still told that they are not able to confirm my eligibility. i had quite a few email exchange with them about this one and I then left. I dont know when I will get my credit card here to get that one so, you know, its not for me right now.
