19-year-old Columbus mom charged in child abuse case

I just read that article and can tell you that is absolutely disgusting. Toddlers become difficult at times and require patience, love and understanding. It's pretty sad when someone goes to that extent to cover up a beating from a young teen boyfriend. What are they thinking? I agree about the jailtime and I also think the child should never be in their custody again. There should be a one time law worldwide. Abuse a child to that extent one time, and the child is no longer in the home.

Wow this is seriously digusting and disturbing and horrible. I can't believe some one would be so stupid as this mother. These people should be locked up.

That is just disgusting. As a mother it makes me feel physically ill to even hear about any person harming such an innocent life.

Just the fact that she was covering the bruises with make up says that she knew this was wrong. These kind of stories make me sick, even on my worst day, when my kids have pushed me to the end of my rope I could never imagine treating them like this! And believe me, there have been times where I have locked myself in the bathroom and turned on every faucet to drowned out the noise until I calmed down. How come nobody teaches these young parents how to cope? I think parenting classes should be mandatory, and not to point fingers but if you are under 25, single and having a baby there should be some sort of monitoring of the household the baby is growing up in.

People should wait to have kids - too many young girls thinking a baby is like a doll (and its not). You can't just leave your baby alone when you are sick of playing with it. Babies are extremely high maintenance, needing care 24/7. At 19 they are not equipped to be a parent - barely an adult themselves. It really is a travesty. I think we need more education in schools about this - a baby is a lifetime commitment.

mothers and fathers like these don't deserve to call themselves parents. The child is definetly better off with a couple who longs for a child. The parents of this innocent baby need to be flogged and not let anywhere near the child. They need major counseling. Something is just not right with them

that is the most God awful thing I have heard in a long time, some one needs to take them to an ally and beat them like they did to that poor baby

This stuff just makes my skin crawl..Poor innocent babies and children always getting hurt or killed because of some people who just don't deserve to have children....They will get there dues....

Hi Lifez2short! Gosh, I am really feeling sick of all those kind of people. How could people like that be blessed with kids when they don't know how to appreciate such blessing? That Nickolite and boyfriend should never be let out of jail. I hope the kid will recover from that trauma and recover from that skull fracture. Gosh, they are really making me sick.
