Why does an E-MAIL be more important that messenger or phone?

This is a fact that I found myself in it , I have no explanation , but when I use the messenger to talk with a friend or a cousin I feel so normal and I don't get that excited and may be the most of the topics are for fun and passing time , but when I recieve and email I feel something important has arrived into my box and I start reading it carefully , the answer would be 80% direct and free of fun or jokes and at the same time I feel that's an interesting or caring issue when recieving something from somebody , I guess that this a common issue among all the people but can you say why?

I also think the same.. Quite true.. I guess that's becoz people take out time to send out mails.. They look into things that wud make the recipient happy, and that's exactly what u get when u recieve one.. The senders also send matters that are important, that we don't know before, and that's the reason why we pay special attention to mails than messenger or phone.. On these two mediums, the matter is instant talk, while on mail, the matter has taken a lot of time of the sender before being sent...

We can attach files in both emails and via messengers conversations but in reality , we do keep our attached files into our emails forever , whereas we may lose them if we get them from messenger and we do delete them or reformat the HDD!
Another good point too.

The messenger's also speedy in delivering and costs nothing but there is no charm in it.
It seems like it depends on the person using it , if we see who's sending us emails among our long messenger's list will find only 10% or 20% , that means all the others will chat with us if we get online together but those sending us emails are more defined of their message and more respectful in their writing I guess...
