I'm sure you've all seen the topic headings with a few capitalized letters thrown in here and there, like the one starting this thread.
Is there a "code" here somewhere or do you think people are unsure about when to use a capital letter, hit shift by mistake, or something else?
Do you ever find yourself trying to "decode" something that probably isn't even there? I have caught myself trying to decode things, LOL (blush).

Now you got me doing it....ah, Secret Message huh? Heheh...I notice on MyLotter uses caps a lot but he says it's because his caps lock jams and gets stuck...LOL
But honestly, I'm going to have to notice whether there's any hidden message involved.

I think it depends on the writing style of the person writing the post. Many will tell you that it's generally frowned upon to use all caps as it looks like you're yelling. Personally, I have been known to use selective capitals to emphasise a word or words in some posts.
I can't say that I've tried to find hidden messages in other members headings because of this though. Usually the discussion itself reveals the reason for the capital usage.

Right, I agree. Once in awhile I view one that has capital letters in odd places, but it just occurred to me that maybe the poster is using a cell phone and texting (or however they get online with a cell phone, LOL, I have never done that) and it is quicker or easier to just leave the capital letters wherever they end up?
