Now with all the environmental problems the government is is search for fast and quick solutions to fight global warming and so on. What do you think is the biggest thing we have to face in order to bring global warming down? For me I would have to say transportation is a big problem with so many cars out there we despreatley need some clean emission burning cars. There's some out there but not enough to make a difference.

one of the big contributors of pollution in our environment is the factories. they are the real big monster who contribute a lot of black big fog that eventually pollute our fresh air. take china for example. their government should do something about that.

I am in total agreeance with you about the cars. I mean ok, yes everyone wants their own form of transportation. But why is the government allowing the owners of the solar car pattents to sit on them. "owners" is also referring to the owners of the major oil companies that literly buy up any patton for a non-dino-juice car (like my lingo?! :P) The war is over oil, the majority of the world polution is over oil, the severe imbalance in the american economic situation has a whole lot to do with oil. So why is the government allowing it to continue... oh wait... dont get me started on the shrub.. lol Im interested too in what other people think.

There are heaps of things that you can do to minimise your impact on the environment. Some of them are basic things that are not really a big deal such as: remember to recycle, switch of appliances and lights when you are not using them.
Become more self relient. grow some your own vegetables. walk or ride instead of driving. when you go to the supermarket buy stuff that was produced locally. Eat less meat. A significant amount of the energy taken to feed you is invloved in the transport of the goods.
The government can say all it likes about global warming and how they are trying to stop it but until environmentally friendly industries become big business i suggest changing your own lifestly first.
Hope this helps

An excellent topic of discussion!
Yes there is one biggest way we can help the environment & reverse climate change.
Every big government in the world has had the "how to" reports from the UN sitting on their desks, gathering dust for years.
The problem is definitely not with the cars, nor with carbon emissions from heavy industry. They're no good for the environment, but shutting down developing nations & developed nations economies in an effort to fix things will do virtually nothing to stop global warming & climate change. The automotive industry, for example, releases gases into the atmosphere which have a net cooling effect. Please refer to my detailed discussions on the matter:

The single most effective, efficient & cheap solution we can all implement immediately is to change your diet to one which is both vegan & organic.
