HIV patients dealing with lipoatrophy

How does an HIV patient deal with lipoatrophy ( loss of fat in the face, arms, legs ) ? Does one have to live with it ,granted that the medication helps the patient live or does one continue to seek for better medication ? This loss of fat, especially in the face, has become a social demoraliser in one's life.
