When you're baking cookies, do you look forward to eating some of the raw cookie dough while forming the cookies?
I think that's my fav part! I'm not even a cookie fan really, I make them more for my son and hubby, but I like the dough! And I can't eat too much because it's so rich, so that's better for me anyway, better than eating 8 cookies in one sit down! haha!
So do you sneak in a few bites of the yummy rawness? Or just form a cookie ball and bake away?!!

We all eat cookie dough in this house. I have to make my batches larger so I can actually get some cookies out of the dough after all of the sneaking that goes on. When I'm really bummed out I make a really tiny batch of dough and just eat that. I agree cookie dough rocks!

You have to see it here when I have to make cupcakes or muffins to bring to school. I have to make 3 batches of everything just to get 18 to go to school. It's a nightmare. I try to do those kind of things when they are in school so I can make one batch of 18 and be done with it. LOL My dh is as bad as the kids. Cookies, muffins and cupcakes don't even get a chance to cool off in this house. They are gone before I even get them out of the oven.

first off, i love your avatar! semper fi! i'm married to a usmc vet. he got out in 2002. not retired but he finished his term and didn't sign back on. is your hubby active? if so, bless his heart, thank him for all he's doing, and bless you heart for your patience and love. if he's not active, thank him anyway for serving our country. it's so important and amazing.
oh and back to the subject! chocolate chip seems to be the best dough for some reason, you're right!
i love how you have now figured out why there aren't as many cookies as what they say the batch should make!! heehee!!

I like cookies best when they're warm and right off of the cooling rack. I don't really like cookie dough, mostly because I do prefer warm foods (except for sandwiches and ice cream).

I love to eat the cookie dough. Its like a tradition passed on in our family. My mom used to make cookies and we'd get to eat a little bit of the cookie dough. Now I do it with my kids. My sister and I used to make some just to eat the dough lol.

that's how it was for us growing up too, and that's why i do it for my son now. he loves the dough. then i baked them, and asked if he was ready for a cookie, and he shook his head wildly and said "no thanks mama"...maybe he ate TOO much dough? haha!!

I absolutely love raw cookie dough. My kids always did too. It was funny last year. A young man that was my boys best friend growing up in school was preaching our revival at our church. When he got up there he made the statement that he learned to love raw cookie dough at our house when they were young. LOL I couldn't believe he still remembered. It was cute.

When we make cookies I am lucky to have enough dough to make the cookies by the time the kids get done eating it. I understand what you are saying LOL !

ha! sounds like you have to rush to get the cookies baked...kids come running even before we start baking and before the good smells come from the oven! haha!

Cookie dough ROCKS!!!! I'm not even sure why we even cook it. It's kind of a shame to take such a perfect substance as cookie dough and destroy it by cooking it. I think it's even better chilled. Oh, and in ice cream!!! How about this. Cookie dough sandwiched between two cookies. That's it! I'm going to make cookie dough right now!
