So now that Al Gore won a Nobel Peace prize for his envirnomental work, do you think that he should run for President?
I know that a lot of people think that he should.
Personally, I think that he can probably do more good by remaining out of the race. That not to say that I won't consider voting for him if he ran. I am merely saying that perhaps for the sake of the envirnoment, he might be able to do more by not getting entangled with the offcie of President.
What do you think?

Gore has a massive support group. He could easily outraise all ouf Obama and Hillarys earnings in the next two months.
I'm not happy with the fact that I am going to be stuck voting for Hillary Clinton over one of these Republican dunderheads, but if it were Gore, id gladly vote for him.

Erm. Al Gore is a moron. He said he invented the internet for pete's sake. And this "environmental" work he did...he wasn't too concerned about the environment when he told SUV drivers that HE drove an SUV and he LOVED IT, but then went to an environmentalist group and said SUV's were horrible and must be taken off the roads! He's just as bad as Hillary Clinton. He supports whatever's popular and whatever he thinks will get him a few more votes. He's a raving idiot.

Yeah, because Al Gore inventing the internet isn't a republican talking point misquoted to destroy him or anything.

Like you I would consider voting for him if he ran, however I think he does more good in his non political career than he ever would in office. He kind of has this funky vibe about him that doesn't make him a good candidate in my opinion. I am interested though to see if he gives an endorsement to any of the current candidates.

You are right, Al Gore has done much better since he has left the political game than the time when he was VP. When he was the VP he seemed so wooden and I think the only thing that most people can remember him for is his dubious method of fund raising and his inability to win an election that he should have won easily.
Since he's left politics he has won an Oscar in addition to this Nobel PEace PRize. He has become funny and relaxed in front of the media - in short, he's everything he wasn't during his days in politcs - how sad if he were to ruin all he has achieved since then.

I am a Canadian, but, to quote a phrase, if I were an American, I would not vote for him to be president if he were the last man on Earth. There were more people more worthy of getting the Nobel Peace Prize and anyone, except God, who says that men are evil, and say that Global Warming is caused by man and not by the natural order of things, that is, God rules the seasons, and gets to win the Nobel Peace Prize because he is politically correct, does not deserve my vote.
Besides, when global warming is reversed, it will be colder where I live, in the Canadian Prairies during the winter. So everyone who is against global warming, I invite you to try to live up here when it becomes regularly -25 to -40 degrees in Winter and not be able to warm up because the price of oil and gas will be through the roof and you will have to keep your thermostat set at 15 degrees Celcius or below during the night and 19 degrees Celcius or below during the daytime.
