what would you do if your best friend tells you "I LOVE YOU"?

well.. i can say that tell him what you feel and what you don't want.. we need to become honest rather than telling them it's ok because everything will fall differently..

then i will think of why is it that he will say so? i will think twice maybe he is making fun of me or just he say his true feelings but what can i do if i dont feel the same way... i better not take it serious and pretend that he doesnt mention it and still be friend to him...

Why can't your best friend love you? The question is, how does he love you? Does he love you as a brother/friend? Is he gay? Does he have intimate feelings for you? These are all questions you need answers for. If it makes you uncomfortable, here is a way to put things if you don't know if he is gay and don't want to bring the subject up without offending him. If he says he loves you again, then say, I am glad that you care for me, you are such a great friend, I really consider you more like a brother. That will tell him how you feel about him and there won't be any offensive actions taken. I don't now if that will work, but it's worth a shot.

One of my male friends Kyle had this happen to him. His best friend (male) admitted that he loved Kyle and had romantic feelings for Kyle WHEN Kyle told his friend that he was engaged to be married. There were some uncomfortable times after that until Kyle asked his best friend to be his best man. This pretty much ensured that his friend was not in a position to continue discussing his romantic feelings. I was worried that his friend would object during Kyle's wedding, but everything went smoothly. =)

I think that is very normal. If people stay together very long,they will be rely on each other,and you'll think that you love her or him. If you think he or she is just a best friend of you ,please say sorry to her or him and explain to him or her.I think he or she can understand. Although I don't think this is the best answer,I also do like this,I don't want to lose a best friend just because of this!
