To be loved or to love?

If you can't live with a person who loves you and you also love him/her,or you will never meet such a person in your life,which will you choose: to be loved or to love? I think some will choose to be loved and some will choose another.But for me,I think to choose a person I don't love much and the person also doesn't love me much is better.Because in such case,both of us will not be severely hurt.What do you think?
