For those who used formula, what brand did you use and why?

I've had two kids. I tried breastfeeding with both, but because of complications with their births...they were both fed bottles first and it caused some problems. Plus I never had enough milk. So we used formula. My kids could never use Enfamil or Similac. They got so constipated. Both times we had to use the carnation goodstart. And boy did it get their bowels moving. lol

i gave my daughter s26 gold till 6 mos.,,, now she's almost two, she's now on progress gold, she get constipated so her doctor give her something to help her vowel movement

When I twins were born, they were preemies, 7.5 months gestation. So, they were on formula since their birth. And, from their birth, nurses gave then Similac NeoSure which was 20 calories and then once they left the NICU and hospital two weeks later, they were on 22 calories until they were 9 months old.
Yes, Twin "B" was and sometimes still in constipated. Since they were infants, I never gave then applejuice or bananas because these two fruits will constipate bigtime. Instead, I let my girls, even today, drink White Grape Juice or Pear Juice and pears for fruit too. No bananas!!
