When its chilly outside

I'm not a great oatmeal eater for breakfast, but I love it as a late night snack--It was chilly here last night and wanted something to warm me up a bit..so I had some last night..it's the plain kind, but I added some granola chunks, cinnamon, sliced up apple and raisins, and drizzled some honey on it...yum!

I love oatmeal, especially with brown sugar. I tried it with honey, but it was not sweet enough. It gets cold here in the mornings and I need something to fill me up and I cook it in the microwave, but then I have to turn the timer on and off or it will spill over the bowl. The controls do not mention how to cook cereal, by the way, so I will have to look it up on the internet. At least in winter, I have a choice, oatmeal porridge, eggs, toast, bacon and eggs and hash browns, but if I do not have anything I go crazy.

hello, I am not a big fan of oatmeal at all, I have never really tried it but it looks like umm how do I out it puke LOL, when it's chilly outside I love eating beef stew, and soups

We call it porridge and yes, I love it but more during the onset and first few weeks of winter or chilly weather. I also liketo have other cereals with warmed milk on it. Breakfast isn't an exclusive time for it either. ;)

I have only just started eating oatmeal now that I have been exercising and losing weight. Its yummy especially on chilly mornings :)

I like oatmeal, even if its not cold outdoors just yet, I will still eat it. I mostly like the instant ones, I like all the different flavors, but my fave is Maple n Brown Sugar, next is the Peaches and Cream. Mmmm I also like the oats you have to cook on the stove top and then add my own stuff to it. Gotta have some butter and some sort of sweetner on it, wether its brown sugar or regular sugar. Great Terry, now Im craving some Oatmeal. Oh and cant forget oatmeal cookies hot and soft from the oven. Now Im either going to make cookies or oatmeal! lol Bay Lay Gray xx

I'm not really fond of oatmeal, but isn't it funny how we associate certain foods with the weather? Soup for winter, salad for summer... oatmeal for cold weather, cold cereal for hot weather. They just don't taste the same otherwise.

Yes I do sometimes but after a while I get fed up with it lol I will have it closer to Lunchtime though as I can stomach eating first thing in the Morning

I don't like oatmeal, but I had my first hot chocolate of the season last night at the high school football game! It was really cold and it tasted so good! Then today was the local college's homecoming parade and our band marched in it. It was sunny and pretty, but very chilly... a local church had a booth set up with hot chocolate, so I got to have some today too! I love this kind of weather!

i eat oatmeal any time of the year its good for u i like it with toast and hot chocolate. when its chilly out i love eating chili and oatmeal with hot chocolate and marshmallows

Hi TerryZ! Oatmeals, I was told, stabilized one's blood pressure and it is really good for the heart. I do like oatmeal even it doesn't really get chilly here in my homeland. Haha..Take care and have a nice day!

Yes the oatmeal warms you up inside when it is chilly outside. It also tastes good !

oh I love oatmeal when its cold outside or when I just need comfort food. It is also good when you are sick! I have so many recipes for what to put in oatmeal but my favs are the stable sugar and butter, just a spoon full of peanut butter yummm, or a hand full of chocolate chips if I wanted something for dessert. Very yummy, how do you eat your oatmeal?

I'm not a big oatmeal person, but i do love it being a little chilly outside. I wake up and fix me some coffee and just go outside and relax before my children get up. that is my oatmeal i guess you would say. teh best part about it turning a little chilly is the clothes i like to wear. perfect weather for it right now.

yes my friend.i love oatmeal especially it's perishing outside.if i were you,i would be even more voracious and gluttonous.please dont blame yourself for such a peccadillo,life is just like this.sometimes your beloved things cost you some,but it's wothwhile.

Hiks... no winter in my country actually :( But if the weather is cold, I usually drink hot coffee, and eat hot noodle :D yummy
