Has anyone here been taken in with a promise of making tons of cash? I know from personal experience that this can be embarrassing to talk about, but would you be willing to warn others so they don't make the same mistake?

I am a work from home mom. I have a home based business and I love what I do. I have not been taken by anyone promising lots of money. I work online all day and I set my own hours I try not to do weekends but I like what I do so much I find myself working acouple of hours on the weekend. I do make a nice income to help with my family. By the way I actually found this opportunity on the internet. So there is legit opportunities out there.

I have been searching for work at home places for over 5 years. Most of them don't pan out. I have found four places that do actually pay. But I spent hundreds on fake places. so basically I have learned from experience that if you have to pay for anything then it isn't real. NO matter how real it seems. I really hate it when my friends find places they are so excited about only to find out they have to pay this huge fee (or even small fees). I try and tell them that it isn't going to work. but we all must learn on our own I think. I now consider myself sort of an expert on working from home. But legit ones are hard to find, sort of like a needle in a haystack. Another good way to make money from home is starting your own business. NOT someone elses business, but your very own that you created from scratch. It isn't a for sure thing but at least you stand a chance! By the way I am working from home right now and enjoying it a lot. It is great when you have children.
