I still have my old typewriter. I remember we had to get one in the 4th grade because we had to type a paper for my history class, and they didn't allow us to stay over at school back then so my mom had to rush out and pay like $200 for it. That sucked.

oh yeah. we had typewriters in college and i even underwent typing lessons. which came in handy when the world shifted to computers. i remember the first time i handled the computer. i was a staff at our school paper. when the editor gave me back my edited manuscript, i started keying in the article in wordstar. it was good that he found out what i was doing, because he stopped me when i was still in the second sentence. he told me that the computer makes editing easy. i didn't have to retype my article. yippee!!!! it was a funny experience. hahaha

oh no, i didn't find it difficult. you see, i always dreamed of being like my father who can type very well. so i made sure i was diligent in my typing classes. so i did pretty well. hihihi he is my idol in typing. he types really fast and doesn't look at the keys. so i thought if he could do it, i could, too.:-)

hehehe. Yes but thanks for the wonder of liquid paper and correction tape, it made it easier for me not to retype the whole page again.. you just wipe it out with the liquid paper, wait for it to dry, then, you can type again;) I'm glad though that we have computers now because that time, computer are only available in the office;)

yes, computers are way more efficient than typewriters. but i think, those manual machines taught the people before more discipline and patience, don't you think?

Yeah, we have typewriters at home and in the office. My home bought the typewriter very early, because my dad thought it was very useful for me in the future. Although at that time I was only a child. Now we have computer and printer, and therefore the typewrite is almost not used any more.

when I was a teenager I used a typewriter. It had keys that I had to push down quite hard. Yes, making a mistake was not much fun using all that white correction fluid! I passed a core text processing test when I was 16 years old. A year later I got the opportunity to try using a computer. Being used to a typewriter I put my fingers down quite hard on the home keys. Oh my! All those keys went down at once. The poor computer was terribly confused. Yes, I am grateful for computers. Word processing is so much easier when I can delete any mistakes on screen, save and then print.

I use to have a typewriter to play with when I was little. It was my mom's before we got a word processor and I use to love pretending to write letters to people. My friends always wanted to play with it when they came over. It had a erase button that would erase the last letter you typed if you made a mistake. Wow, those were the good old days.
