Hi, I believe what Peavey said is very true.
You could also read some positief thinking books.
Like the one from Norman Vincent Pael (not sure if I wrote the last name right, Pail,Peal). The Power of Positief Thinking. This book (which I read a long time ago,) really helped me. But there are also lots of other books to read on this subject. Even if you only read 10 min a day. It helps.Well for me it helped. Maybe it can help you to.
And singing helped me too. Happy songs, not sad of course.
Telling yourself when you wake up in the morning:"Today is going to be a great day!" Even if you donĀ“t really believe it, saying this every morning will eventually make you feel like it is true.
Good Luck and take care.

Well, sure if it helps, no problem.
That does not help me.
When I start crying I cannot stop, and then I end up with a cold , for at least a week.
My nose starts a life of its own , so to speak. lol
But, yes I have heard that is normally the best thing to do.
Cry and get it out of your system.
Take care.

The usual advice is to do something - get involved in a hobby or volunteer to help others. Physical activity seems to help, also. Trying to talk oneself out of depression may help, but just getting up and making oneself do something seems to work better.

The sources or causes that demonstrate the depression must be identified in a very clear manner. Sort all those sources and solve it one by one. Outsouce our problem to the appropriate party for solutions.
Positive minded that should be take first here is "a problem creates an opportunity". Creative and inventive mind that really work for us to keep on going to have good future life. So no more for depression but appreciation.

Everything is happening for a reason. You have two choices in life be sad or be happy. If you choose to be sad then I think life would be worthless you are simply a looser and if you choose to be happy despite of all difficulties you may have you can consider yourself a big winner. God Speed!

It depends on how depressed a person is and what situation the person is in.
If I can and I'm at home, I watch comedies until I feel better. If I can, I go for a walk until the adrenalin kicks in and the fresh air, etc, helps me feel better. If I can, I read joke books or listen to uplifting tapes.
But I usually know when I'm starting to feel sad and "nip it in the bud" as soon as possible. Take care
