Drink Ensure or other high calorie meal replacement shakes between meals. These are made for the elderly who really need to keep their weight up and contain quite a few calories as well as vitamins. If you drink two a day plus eat normally, you will gain weight in a healthy way.
Also protein shakes and bars are good too.
This is the first time I ever heard someone say they wanted to GAIN weight. If you do gain, remember it won't be muscle so you will have to workout to turn the gain into muscle instead of fat.
Good luck! I used to have to work on gaining weight too. Now I am at an average where I have been for years and it's where I am content.

oh please...lol would you mind switching bodies? i would like to have that kind of a problem. lol i can't seem to eat anything without putting on weight. every bite seems to mean pounds for me. lol

If you are in the United States I don't trust doctors when it comes to weight. According to them I should be at 125 - if I ever get to that weight I am sure I will feel like you do.
Now what is it about your body that's telling you that your current weight is not enough? Is it a discomfort in your body somewhere, or is it just something you think about? Is it your environment where you feel out of place? Unless I know the answers to these questions, I will feel uncomfortable giving my layperson's prescription of lots of carbohydrates, fats, and television.

Wow , wish I could still say that.
I gained weight after leaving my husband after a marrage of 9 years. I was 54 kilo´s and already had two children.
I was always sick or getting there. Tired...
6 months after I left I had gained 10 kilo´s!LOL
Felt great, no more colds and flu. But know 15 years later I am 75 kilo´s. That is to much LOL.
I am not telling you to leave your partner/husband.
Just saying what happened to me.
Anyway the best way to gain weight is to get over problems.
Talk to people.
Eat inbetween meals, and if you really want to gain weight eat befor you go to bed.(lots of spagetti or soup)
The way I see it, to lose weight you must eat regular meals at normal times. Leaving 4 to 6 hours inbetween each meal. After 19:00 eat nothing. Untill the next morning.
So in your case I would do it the other way around.
Maybe you are still under 35, beleive me when you come there the weight gains byitself lol.But,
when the dokter says your weight is good, and you feel good,then
please don´t try to gain anymore weight. Enjoy life, you should be happy! You can eat anything you want. I can´t.
Learn to accept yourself the way are. (You except others the way they are, right?) Learn to respect yourself and you will see others will start respecting you more too.
