With the advent of the computers and cellular phones, as far as I can remember I have not sent a letter through mail for almost 15 years now. How about you?

Good question! You made me think! I haven't sent a personal letter or a Christmas card since the email and online e-card come into our lives. Nowadays only send snail mail for bills payment, and even then, it is a limited occurance as more and more bills can be paid online through ibanking. Is this consider a progress for the human civilization?

Yes, I think we can consider it as a progress for humankind. When there were no motor vehicles, they were delivered through horses if land mails and ships if international mail. Then comes the vans and airplanes and now here comes the computers, fax machines and cellular phones, what can come next? Thanks for the response.

Yes I still send letters and cards in the mail every month:) My grandmother is 91 now and I send her a card every month and she drops me a letter when ever she feels up to writing. I also try to send cards to each of my grandchildren each month. I just got their Halloween cards ready to go out today:)

I think I have forgotten about this method of communication since the invention of mobile phone and internet.Everybody in my environment possess mobile phones and internet access.I think the half of the world population lives in the conditions where even regular mails can not be transported. But anyway letäs hope that is is going to be overcome soon by our efforts altogether.I predict that in the future computers and the internet access would be accessible to everyone and everywhere so that regular mail would be kind of a museum subject :-)

Yes, I do send letters via postal mail. I love getting something in the mail, so I try to return the favor. It's just nice to get something a little different now and then. Also, it is nice to know that the person had to go through extra effort to get something out in the mail. For some reason it is more touching than getting an e-mail.
