This was sent to me today and I really do find alot of truth in it. If some of these people that are on welfare had to do this they would not get help from our government. I know of many people where I live at that get welfare and food stamps and dont work but they are just as much able to work as I am. How do you feel about this. DO you agree also.
Pee Test
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I
work, they pay me. I pay
my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as
they see fit.
In order to get that paycheck. . . I am required to
pass a random urine
test, which I have no problem with.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of
my taxes to people who
don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a
welfare check, because I
have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping
people get back on their
feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with
helping someone sit on
their a@@.
Could you imagine how much money the state would save
if people had to pass
a urine test to get a public assistance check?

Is this really true that people who work have to have pee tests?? Never heard of this. I'm on SSI disability and get food stamps...at the present time I really CAN'T work outside of my home but am trying to build a work at home business on-line...Now what IF??? What IF..I took a pee test and it was deemed that due to the results of that pee test that I could indeed work and no longer could receive my SSI disability or food stamp benefits.. would THAT be fair? From the outside I don't look disabled...and I'm sure many others who have disabilities don't "look" disabled either...that is, maybe they're not in wheelchairs, are blind, etc..but what if we who don't "look" disabled but have disabilities pass the test are then denied their benefits...same with people on welfare..would that be fair?? Just wondering. I'm sure there are many people who abuse the system and who indeed do sit on their assets and do nothing but are truly capable of working, but that isn't the case with a lot of us who do receive benefits.
I was in serious jeopardy back in May when out of the blue my SSI benefits were completely cut off..I had exactly $5.71 to my name...even if I was able to find work and like pronto..it would have taken me quite awhile to earn enough money just to pay my rent. Thankfully, my benefits were reinstated and in rather record time only due to my ingenuity and plain stubborness..LOL

I agree with you PYE most people don't look disabled. And I don't think it would be fair if they took your benefits due a pee test.

Hello Pye, dont take me wrong because I understand that the people that really have a reason to be on disability and that need the help it is about the poeple that screw the system to get SSI and food stamps. I have a friend that I knowen for 10 years and she is able to work just as I am but she is just lazy and our taxes pay for her to sleep all day and party all night them kind of people are what I am talking about. I know of a lady that coached her son to act like he had a learning problem just to get a monthly check so she didnt have to work. The boy made A's and B's in school. The pee test would be about the ones that are like doing durgs and things like that. Hugs!

Thank you High, yes I am only talking about the ones that are healthy but say that they are disabled only to get a monthly check. I know some will missunderstand this discussions. I am not putting down the ones like Pye that really do have a reason and nedd the help. It is about the one that abuse the system. I also am glad that Pye got her benefits back and that she is ok now.

Thank you for the support on this. It is bad that some have to fight in order to try and take care of themselfs when they are not able to work or have health issues. My one friend she gets SSI every month because she weighs 450lbs, but she choose to just sit at home and do nothing but eat til she got that big and now she really is living high off the hog to say. she dont pay no rent because Hud pays it for her, she gets food stamps $560.00 a month and all she does is eat 24/7. I have tried to tell her that she could lose weight if she want to but, she just says why I got it made. Now if the governement would come back and say that you have to try and lose at least 20 in 6 months you can keep your check and if she didnt want to lose it then she would lose all her beneafits.

I know exactly what you mean! It's insane that people abuse the system like that. I guess maybe when she has her first heart attack she might see things a little differently. Personally I think maybe it's just lack of ambition in some peoples lives. I would want better for myself.

I read this to my husband who is the bread winner of this family. He agrees with it 100% and asked me to print it out so he can take it work with him. Now let me the first to admit we do get food stamps right now because my hubby is on restricted hours at work due to an injury. But he still works and pays his taxes. And we are only doing this until we don't need too anymore.

I do understand that, I have also been on food stamps before when needed til I got back on my feet and then I have them stopped. It is about the ones that just keep getting them and dont have to do anything to help theirselfs or to better themselfs. Thank you.

This would be great, if we can figure out a way to get it instated.
I only do medical front office and I still had to pass a piss test. My sons work/worked labor jobs and had to pass.
And just think...the cost of the tests would be a drop in the bucket compared to the savings of not supporting dopeheads.
Maybe you should send this on to your representatives....

Hey the High, You know I got this in my mail the other day and I just kept thinking about it and I though I would share it with all here. I does get some thinking about what is going on in our world these days. So many people are being treated wrong because of the ones that are wrong doers. Hugs!

Congrats to you, you are the first one that came up with this answer to it all. Yes someone would make alot of money selling clean urine but what about the ones that are asked to give a sample of their urine on the spot. I think it is really a two way street. Thanks
