My five year old sister's father passed away almost 3 weeks ago unexpected. Cause most likely a heart attack. She breaks down in school and begins to cry and carries his picture with him everywhere she goes. She will talk to the school about her sadness but not her family. I try to bring her to my house every weekend so she can play with my daughter but I still feel like she keeps her emotions bottled up. How do we get her to release those emotions? She may feel better

Wow that is really sad. I would recommend taking her to a psychiatrist....that would probably help her out a lot. The most important thing for you to do right now is be there for her, and let her know that you love her with all your heart, and you are there for her to talk to. Try to spend a lot of time with her, and let her know she's loved. Be extra sensitive towards her. Right now the thing she needs most is love. It's good to see that you care so much for her. You are a good person.
