do you think that MAJORITY should be AUTHORITY...?

Hi to all... Plz give your opinion do you think that Majority should be (always)the Authority? Let say in government, Unions etc ...
I personally feel that Democracy is a good way to govern a group of people or even whole nation by people themselves. But I do feel some sort of flaw in this system as well. Like what about if 5 votes of Evil (or corrupt) persons weigh more than 4 votes of genius, sincere and talented persons.
In this case how can we justify democracy....???

Hi,
If the majority is better in their disicions and implementations I hope the majority is better. But if blunders are invited I hope the person who is best amoung them is given authority. Ultimately it is the people to select or vote the qualified. In my opinion those elected should be also be deleted by voting too through periodicall voting or postal voting. Authority in proper hands will give better solutions.

I do agree you that with time even the selected candidates or leaders can be deleted out. Thats the real essense of democratic system infact. But as you told the person who is better among them should be the authority. Who will decide and how it can be decided that who is the better one. Again if the majority will decide who is better then majority of the voters might not be good ones by themself. :).....
