Word power made easy or the other book is best for vocabulary

Dear bloggers I have read Word power made Easy by Norman Lewis.After reading that I thought this is the best book vocabulary.I need your answer whether this is the best book or any other book is there bettet than the Word Power Made Easy.If there please provide it with the author's name.

There is another book by Readers Digest for development of vocabulary. I use that book. I had forgotten the title of the book. One should keep the book for reference only. In practice, it is better to read a newspapers and good magazines, copy the high sounding words, search for meaning. If one follows this system, one will pick up vocabulary faster than the secialized book.

Can I ask why you are interested in learning vocabulary? You can message me. Also, I basically learn vocabulary by trying to understand the words.
