hmm... I was reading this article with mixed feelings. I wouldn't exactly call the fella a victim.

The doctor who saved this man was very quick on his feet. And it is this quick thinking that actually saved the man's life! I must applaud him for that! The world can be thankful for a doctor like that. One who thinks out of the box to save his patients.
The other feeling I was having is that this man drank the anti-freeze on purpose.
He was trying to kill himself and am wondering what his reasons were.
If he was doing it cos he was depress, then I really hope that he seeks help to sort out his issues.
Cos it would have been a real waste of life if he attempted to kill himself again.

I would like to think that if he tried to kill himself, when he comes to and realizes he was given another chance at life by the grace of God and the hand of this doctor that those facts alone will open his eyes and make him realize how lucky of a man he is to get this second chance and try to start his life anew.

I share your sentiments exactly!
It is not everyday that one gets to have a second go at life!
I hope he can really iron out his issues, what ever it is, and move on to a better life than he had before.
It is really his luck that he met with the doctor who is quick on his feet! And I hope he is appreciated for his efforts for saving him by living a better life! ;)
