cologne or perfume? which one do you prefer?

Hi there, i'm not sure whereabouts in the world you are, but i always thought that cologne and perfume were two different things? I thought that cologne was mens 'aftershave' ie pour homme, and that perfume was the ladies fragrances - pour femme? Perhaps i am wrong but i love both kinds, especially when my fiance wears nice smells, gives me goosebumps! lol

i like colognes for everyday use, because aside from making me smell good, they cool me down after going outside for awhile. but once in a while, during special occasions, i wear perfume, because that makes me feel special and mature. and the scent stays longer. :-)

Amylou is correct, they are both different. Cologne is for men and perfume is for women.
