Does anyone know what 'My Lot' actually means?
My... Lottery? Lotto? Lotion?
Where did this name originate from?
I ask, because it's such an odd little name that doesn't really roll off the tongue very well, but it still seems to be a very popular site...

I don't know if anyone knows how or where the name came from, but my guess is quite logical.
In England and in many other countries, a "lot" is a block of land. In Australia this usually refers to a building block - an "allotment" on which a house or other building is built. In England a "lot" is often a small parcel of land in a communal vegetable garden.
If my guess is correct, myLot is an apt name. It is our little piece of the net where we can occupy and build.
