Well not totally to myself...there will still be 4 kids here, but that's practically an empty house compared with how it's been!
One more night after tonight and the others are leaving until Sunday! S/o is working nights and will be sleeping during the day. I will finally have a little peace and quiet! I can use the computer when I want, watch what I want on tv, do my laundry and take long showers whenever...I can't wait! (Can you tell I'm excited? lol)
So, here's my question...
How often do you all get the house to yourselves and how do you enjoy that time? What speial activities do you get to do only when everyone else is gone?

Now that my son is in Kindergarten I have the house to myself from 8am - 3.15pm Monday to Friday (unless my son is sick which he is at the moment). Oh I LOVE IT LOL I exercise in the mornings, then when I come home I eat what I want, I watch my tv programs and I use the laptop when I want too. Sometimes I take a hot bath and soak and read a book, sometimes I take an afternoon nap :) I love it that I have the house to myself during the day when my husband is at work and my son is at school :)

I have another 5 years before the little ones will all be in school! I can't wait...
A hot bath sounds so good right about now BUT they took the tub out and only have a shower now :(
I have parked myself here at the computer as much as the youngest two would allow and didn't feel the least bit guilty about it!

I wish you goodluck on that foxy, also I hope you enjoy all the time you've missed!;)
I'm really not used to being with someone else (which is not part of the FAMILY) in the house, I feel uneasy and I feel my privacy is being invaded. Believe me, since I was a kid we always have someone (like relatives from far away places) that used to stay here, they kind of feel like our house was the right place for them to sleep at since they are free of charge!LoL But I'm not used to them, since most of the times they do everything they want which instatly irritates me. They don't have any consideration as such, they just do whatever they.
I prefer to live a life alone and in peace, because I believe that the house the best place to relax and take a rest. So when the time comes they are leaving, I would rejoice and do everything I missed doing while they were like sleeping long hours with nobody to disturb me!;)

See that's exactly how I feel too...even though it's actally their house and I'm the visitor. This extended stay was not at all planned so I'm just not adjusting very well to it. I had been quite comfortable being the only adult in the house until everything changed and I came here. Maybe they feel the same a little bit too though...

I have a LONG time to go before I'll be able to do that LOL! I guess that is the reward for years of raising children though!

It happened to when my parents visited their relatives last Christmas, because that was the only time for a rest i just said no and only me left in the house. What i remember was a watched dvd's and played cd's which i bought in that year. I sing and dance with the music. I done the feeding of my little kittens and big ones. I do washed the dishes and cook meal for me. I remember in the afternoon when my parents went home, they all shock when they see me dirty because take our dog to bath and our house floor is very wet. I do not usually do that, i just try and i find it really enjoying. They all laughed at me when they found out i cooked egg for myself only, because i don't know at that time if they will come back home that day but they did so they all teased me.

Sounds like you had a great time! I won't be alone enough to do those things but at least I won't have to deal with the usual things I have to deal with when everybody is here.

I plan on enjoyingmy ime as much as possible! My other favorite thing willjust being able to shower whenevr I want. Usually I have to work it in between their showers and not while they are sleeping, doing laundry or running the dishwasher AND while the kids are settled enough to not need me...needless to say I usually get about 5 minutes at the most.

Maybe most of us will come across such a situation, and maybe some of us are afraid of being lonely,i think the best way to solve this problem is trying to do something
you like and want to do to make you feel comfortable. For me,if everyone else is gone and only i am left in the house,i will do something i like or something i have less chance to do ,for example,i like reading novels, listening musics,or sing songs myself,or do some houseworks....

I won't be lonely and I will quite enjoy this time anyway, it's not a problem at all. I'm excited to have a break from the other people.

You looks very exited...
You can do everything you want without any disturbance from others. I guess you'll have enough time to rest too.
But for me, I'll miss everyone when I am alone in the house for many times. I'll miss playing and joking with the childrens. It is fun somehow. Sometimes I feel boring.
But I always baing alone in the house some of the time. If I have a better mood that day, I'll watch DVD movies and cook for myself....

There are still 5 people here so there is still a lot to do to stay busy, it's just nice to do it on MY schedule rather than the other people's schedule. As strange as it might sound I'm alreadylooking forward to gettingto go to bed whenever I wanttonight. Usually I have to wait for everyone else to go to bed, which isn't until 2:00am or later some nights!

I love having the house to myself. You can use the computer whenever you want - you don't have to take care of anyone...I don't get this much but I am so excited for you!!! Use this time wisely!

I'll still have a lot to take care of LOL but it is so nice to have the other adults gone so I can be in charge of things for a change. It makes for a really nice change of pace!
