Well, I think I'm a good model because my kids are always so proud of me. They always tell their friends that their mom means the world to them.

I'm not sure if I am a good model for my child (I hope I am..but I'm sure there are times that I slip). I know my older son is exactly like I am and think the same way. So, I do know how to handle him (all I have to do is do things the way I wish someone would have done to me) and what is the best way to have effective communication with him.

Sorry, but no children except for our cats :) And I wouldn't know really, but am sure that if someone of my relatives would pass away and I will have the possibility to adopt the kid, or the kids, I'll do my utmost best to bring them up in a way that they could be proud of later on in life

I teach them in different way by saying 'I am a normal person and not your good role model for you but can give you all good guidance.'
I wanted them to apply this life philosophy, 'Be Yourself' and don't attempt to match or surpass me as your parent, typically by imitation. Successful people always practice, be different.
