I just came from the post office this morning pissed off. Why do you say? Well, let's see, I tried to mail very important documents and realized I made a mistake making it an express mail delivery. The personnel charged me more than my budget. So I had to mail the first documents first and withdrew some money for my second document. The interval of me mailing that second document was no less than 5 minutes but when I was about to mail it, the man on the window just told me to come back after lunch. I was looking at the office clock and it was like a minute before 12:00 noon. I started heating up and tried to talk the personnel to taking my mail, rather than me coming back to the post office when he could just have taken it a minute before the scheduled lunch beak. Damn it! He just wouldn't reconsider. Thus, I drove home and that got me pondering what went wrong, why I was so pissed by the situation. First, these documents took me months to prepare and being at the post office I want it to be mailed fast and safely so I chose to mail it express, however, I wasn't able to prepare that much money because when I asked a friend how much mailing them would cost, it was cheaper...probably I could have mailed it on a non-express delivery to have it cost less. Oh well, that's over. Secondly, I can't believe how unaccommodating people can be. Well, I guess that's just how things work in that office or maybe that just depends on the person. Thus, I just have to reconcile myself to the idea of the hassle of going back there to mail after lunch hours just for that inconsiderate person. What did I learn from the experience? I could have been there at that office earlier to prevent hassles such as this from happening. Moreover, I also learned to let things be. There can really be moments in life when things don't go smoothly or the way we expect them to be. When that happens, --it happens. We just have to take them as they come and move forward.

that would have made me mad too! ppl today just dont seem to give a damn about anybody else. and the civil servants...more specifically..postal workers and the even more dreaded...Department of Motor Vehicles employees...are even worse it seems. i guess they just have to deal with such a large load of ppl every single day that they learn to hate their job. cause they certainly seem to. like you said..."we just have to take them as they come and move forward" grudginly forward and with much grumbling and curses, but forward lol!

hahaha...you said it right, whenever I go to the Department of Motor Vehicles I hold my breath and say a prayer first, then proceed cautiously 'cause I feel that evil is everywhere....hehehe...and yup we can naturally react grudgingly forward and with much grumbling and curses at first but suddenly when the negativity is released (in a constructive way;)... nothing more to do but move forward.:)
