I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety disorder and I am curious to see how many people on mylot suffer from them to and also which symptom you have that go along with your anxiety and panic attacks. I get really hot, and feel like I am going to pass out, I feel like I cant breathe like I am suffocating. At one point my panic attacks were so bad that I could not even leave the house at all for almost a year. I am better now I still have panic attacks but they are not debilitating I can actually control them and I know that I am not going to die.

before i got on meds my panic attacks were bad. i would feel like I couldn`t breath, my heart would race, i thought I was having a heart attack. i used to get the people i worked with to talk to me when I felt it coming and that helped a lot. They are very scary to go thru.

used to and I hope I never have to again. They're very crippling...its actually pretty hard to describe if you've never had one. Its this extremely irrational feeling of impending doom that you just can't turn off no matter how hard you try. You found a weird lump on your face...it might be cancer! You're dying! Start planning the last few days/weeks of your life!...when in reality its just a zit. You took somebody else's cart in the supermarket and they saw you...he might have followed you home! He might break into your house at any moment planning to kill you! You better go outside disguised so he doesn't see you!...in reality the other guy's probably at home watching the game. Its extremely hard to get over. I had to take pills to get rid of it, but it didn't go away completely. A good diet with exercise helps alot in easing the attacks. Panic attacks are basically anxiety gone wild :S

YES!!! I have panic disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I tend to get mine in week long episodes. Sometimes I go a couple of years without having a major one but I tend to suffer from anxiety attacks quite often. Those are more manageable to me however. When I am having a panic attack I get cold sweats, blurred vision and cramps in my stomach. I feel like I can't breath and I get very light headed. I also feel this feeling of impending doom, which for me is the worst of the symptoms. I find it hard to calm myself down and not lose my mind all together. It's the most awful feeling and I wouldn't wish it on anyone...

Yes i used to suffer from panic attacks for a long time. I have the same feelings that you are going through. I was really worried for a long time. But today i am ok and i feel much better than before. The reason for this is that i enrolled for a course called panic away which removed my disorder upto 95% and i really feel good about it/ check my blog dedicated for the panic attacks. go to my profile and check my site.

I suffer from anxiety & have done for the past year mine came on for no reason at all when i was on my way into work on the bus I had to leave my job because I couldnt get back on the bus by myself as i was scared to be alone, I also had constant anxiety the first few months but its much better now ,I have just had to learn how to manage it. I still dont really like to go out alone or be on my own for too long. But I have done so many things I never thought I would have a year ago =)
