I started out as a music major, because I wanted to teach elementary school music. I found after a year that it was not what I wanted to do after all. I loved all the choruses that I particiapted in, but I just didn't like all the theory and those classes. I just wanted to sing. So I changed majors to Journalism, still sang in three choirs and loved every minute of it.

I'm a music major and I love it! Like you, we also have a lot of extra participation requirements. At first, I didn't really like it. But later on I found out that all these craps were actually the ones that made me more skillful and analytical. I got to learn new things like techniques and others...but what I've learned best was patience and some more important lessons in life. I'm in my last year as a graduating college music student now. Experience has taught me a lot (Good and Bad). And I will treasure those moments and somehow be able to blend in the field as I graduate. (^_^)
