I took this photo yesterday 10/15/2007 When I was trying out difrent settings for my camera, I think its hawe something special in it. I dident get it as I thought it shold bee but I cant think like that . I hawe been looking at it for some time and yes It tells me the mystery of the backlight in the trees and howe hard it is to take photos with the sun pointed at you.

The photo is beautiful Mat....It is very hard to get a good photo of the sun because of it's brightness...You always take great photos...I am going to get a digital camera and join in all of the excitement of taking photos..My daughter takes great photos...She is copperkitten on Mylot..She just put some up of a pond she took at a friends house..

That honestly reminds me of the look of a screenshot from a movie or something. Lovely. You take some wonderful pictures of trees and you always seem to know when you have interesting lighting to work with.

Hello Flight84. Thanks alot its nice that it reminds you of something. lol I think its most luck I was out and was walking around and did see the sun thru the trees and hawe to move to the side to get it and hawe I whent the first way I hwent seen this, so it must bee luck.

Silhouette at Sunset - Hawaii - This photo was taken at sunset using one of the palm trees to block the sight source and create a silhouette. This was taken with a Canon A530 in the Auto mode.
Back lighting should have the sun behind your subject and it creats a silhouette of the subject. From your photo it appears that you have the sun - light source - is shinning through the trees and not blocked.

Hi matte!I think the trees and sun are posing for you.The sun seems to be giving you a peak of it,kind of like flirting while the trees look like they are slowly opening apart to help give you a better look at her,hehe.Its a very unique photo and a special one at that.Keepim coming,i will be looking for more!:)
