Do You Think That Family Guy Copies The Simpsons

family guy and the simpsons start to make fun of each other in some episodes. even though some times i think they are copying each other theres a video on youtube showing the similarities on each show and which episodes seem to be the same

Just go on youtube and check out the videos that were made that compares certain parts of Family Guy and Simpsons. There's 2 major episodes that demonstrate it, and it's pretty sad. It's black and white proof if that's what you are looking for. Obviously, it was the Simpsons that did all the jokes first, and then they were cheaply repeated by Family Guy. I'm not saying Family Guy is a bad show at all, but there is definite examples of plagerism. I personally like both shows, but the facts need to be acknowledged.

You know, I never really thought too closely about it. I didn't think they did as they do flashbacks, which are interesting and funny pieces at the time. Even if they did, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I really don't think it's a big deal or anything too noticable. For some reason, I just sit back and just watch the show and not even worry about it. That's just how I do it when it comes to that.

They don't copy them, they make fun or use so stuff from it, but no they don't copy them.

I definatley think that Family Guy makes fun of The Simpson's! They always have little things from one another's show taking friendly jabs at eachother, well that's what I think anywho.

no actually no offence to simsons but i like family guy much better but they do have some similarities they like to get drunk and are weird husbands and dads

Its not so much that they copy the Simpsons as it is Family Guy making funny of the Simpsons. I seen the creator of Family Guy on David Letterman a few weeks back and the maker of Family Guy says that him and Matt Groen maker of the Simpsons have some kind of little friendly war going on so if you noticed both shows making fun of each other sometimes.

Some episodes seem to have "copied" the Simpsons, but I guess it would be delibrate as they take the pee out of a lot of stuff they copy / get ideas from!
