It is learnt that there are still some people, who have no cell phone. Last time I met a friend. I asked his cell Phone #. “I have no mobile” He replied. “what are you saying…
Mobile is an important commodity” I replied. But he told that he could not understand to run it well”. He is a religious, well educated and rich enough villager. But he has no mobile. It is very much strange in such age of fast technology. I concluded that there are still many people who have no such facility. Am I right?

Wow, your friend has no cell phone?! What a loser. LOL, just kidding.
Not only do I have a cell phone, it replaced my landline A LONG TIME ago...
I actually have two cell phones (I got both for free via some beta testing focus group and got to keep them!), two Internet voicemail phone numbers (aren't those the coolest?! PrivatePhone.com if you don't have one), and I am soon getting an 800 number for my Internet business(es)... lol
So, yes. I have a cell phone. ;)

It is surprising to me as well when I find out a friend of mine does not have a cell phone. It seems like everyone has cell phones, even children have them these days. Cell phones are very important to have, whether to chat with friends or for emergencies. I have a couple of friends that do not have cell phones. Some people have no use for them and prefer sticking to the old way of communicating.

" I HAVE NO CELLPHONE " ???
what are you saying?are there people without cellphones..thats very strange. Its just because cellphone has become such an integral part of our life that now a days people just cant make without it.
Its not for the purpose of calling someone only we are using the cellphones. The uses of a cellphone are many like it can be used as digital camera, personal data store ,for entertainment ,for browsing internet, for business purposes etc etc...and even as a style and fashion factor. There are guys who manage to land up with dates with girls just by their show off with their cell phones..I know lot of such guys.
and to hear such an answer in today's world is very strange and rare.He is really a great guy..hats off to him..I can say that i just cant do without my cell..sorry

Yeah, u r definately right in every aspect.. There are a whole lot of people who don't have cellphns.. Even sm of my mates while I was in college didn't have mobile phones.. Don't know what kept them away from such a device which has become an absolute necessity today.. I can't imagine my life without my cellphn...

Having a cell phone is pretty much just a choice, neither a necessecity nor a demand to be able to parttake in the world.
I myself have a cellphone, but... I dont bring it when I go visit someone, Go shopping, go to a party... actually pretty much dont bring it when I leave the house.
Because: Using a cellphone has sooo deteriorated ppls curtesy to the worse.
When with others they suddenly start talking on the phone, sms'ing, and generally taking their attention away from who they are with. In my eyes thats an indication that you want to be somewhere else, and I actually get offended by that behavior.
I dont do it to others because of that, and thus... I use my cellphone as a stationaire phone.
I hate ppl that are rude with the excuse, but everyone does it....

Even my grandparents have a cell phone. Even people who don't have money buy those moble phones that you have to buy minutes for. That was my first cell phone. I couldn't live without my cell. It's always on. If I couldn't be reached at any time of day or night people in my family would freak out.

When someone has no internet (We wont count old ppl), i'm shocked. Someone under 40 year that have no internet is hard to find, maybe if you live at place there can't be, maybe then lol!

I personally do have a cell phone that has repalced my landline, but I have only had this arrangement for the last 6 months. I had no reason to have a cell before. It doesn't matter how educated or rich someone is, if they dont want a cell phone, than why should they have one. A lot of people don't let society run their lives and do things that they want to do, not because it is the the "way of the world". I try not to judge anyone on things like this. Having a cell phone or any other technology is a personal choice and one that everyone has a right to make without judgement.

Well sure. There are a lot of people who don't have them and don't even want them. Many of us don't like to be able to be contacted at all times. They are like handcuffs. Especially if you're work has your cell number. I for one do not have one because I choose not to.

Cell phones have become a necesaty. I live in Ireland which has a population of around 2million, but there are more cell phones in the country than there are people. And im not suprised. I personaly have 3 cell phones, and I only use one. It's because technology is developing at a fast paste and our desire for the latest gadget that has boomed the ownership of cell phones in Ireland. And by doin this we are keeping our service providers very happy.

I totally agree with you, there are still people do not make use of the modern technology today. I do have a friend who is a retired headmaster. He had bought a brand new car recently. I have never seen him for quite some time. When I met him at the market few days back we chatted happily. Before I leaving him I asked for his cell phone number by means of sending me a missed call, but to my great surprise, he told me he never had any mobile phone.

I agree the cellphone has become an essential gadget nowadays, both for business and personal communication. But I can understand if the elderly haven't jumped on this technological bandwagon. They would have difficulty understanding how to use it. This is true from my own experience with my parents. They're 60+ and I am always assisting them in using their cellphones.

I got a cell phone, and I think that I feel more sure with it, in case of emergency.
Apart from this, it is a facility that I find useful.
Finally, yes methinks too that it's unusual to find someone not owning a mobile...
Sometimes I find myself wondering how would it be if I were so rich that a secretary responds to my cell phone instead of me... then I fall suddenly on real world!
good bye

yes i have a cellphone and i love it for having one. its very useful for me because i live in a far place and i need to communicate with my family. on the other hand, i still believe many people dont know how to use or even dont care to have a cellphone and i feel sorry for them because cellphone maybe helpful to them. i dont mean that they are not rich, some rich dont even consider much their cellphone. its only they are not in with the new technology.

Two years ago,i had cell phone when i went college. Before it,i and my classmates almost have no cell phone.cell phone takes no use in our life, but my mind has changed recent years. With the developing of economy and technology, communication is more and more important in our life, cell phone provide us communicate with others easy and convenience.Even some pupils are given phones by their parents for connection.I have lost my cell phone one month ago, during that day,i feel inconvenient in daily rutines. I think cell is necessary in our life in this time.
