Are you a slugabed? How to avoid getting up late?

Recently I've been indulged in lying bed and getting up late(after 9 am to be exactly). Before I usually got up at 8 am or earlier. But these several monthes even though I struggled to wake up at 8, I fell asleep easily again. I'm so upset and annoyed with this. Each time I managed to get up, I regretted and felt guilty about wasting the prime time in the morning. Am I a slugabed? How can I get rid of sleepiness?

You should sleep more than eight hours, so that you will be able to get up early.
I advised also that you put an alarm clock so that you will get up at the right time and to avoid getting late from your routine activities.
Have a nice day and God speed!

Hi, braveheart07! Thanks for your joining and valuable responding!
The problem is that I even don't manage to get up after more than eight-hour sleep and I have tried the alarm clock methord but just found useless, for I turned off the alarm and went on sleeping.:P
Anyway, I'll try other methords and get my biological clock normal and regular.
Best regards!

Yes it happens to me the past few months also. Before, I woke up at around 4-5 in the morning and started doing things. But nowI am waking up at around 7-8. There are few things that I missed because of that. But I am really serious to be back on my feet this weeks ahead. I really have to be back on myself... because it affects my daily activities, You just have to condition yourself... thats the only way.

Well, it's not easy for everyone, especially for young people to get up at 4 am or 5 am. Since each one has his/her own biological clock, it's not necessarily to get up very early. But one's biological clock must be regulated and adjusted when one's life is disturbed, just like me. I'm trying to get back on the way I used to be.

You're not a slugabed at all! I'm a night owl with the attitude that mornings are for sleeping. Honestly, 9AM for me is an obscene hour to be awake! A lot of people ask me what I do all night. My response is that I do the same kind of stuff they do when the sun is up!
A physical therapist once told me that the best way to get rid of sleepiness is to exercise. It wasn't the answer I wanted to hear, but it sure works!

It sounds reasonable for you to get up late since you do your job all night. But I go to bed during 11 am to 12 am, which means my sleeping time is adequate.
Thanks for your suggestion! I think I might not take exercise as the way to get rid of sleepiness, because I trid before and after exercising in the early morning, I felt drowsy and slept again!
