india shoudl concentrate more on fielding to win crucial matches

over the years australia have dominated cricket and even now they are the champions in all forms of the game.A part of their success is their fielding,they have set a benchmark to follow.They have a solid domestic structure that emphasizes on all the important factors of the game which is the reason australia keeps producin world class fielders,batsmen and bowlers.Nearly half the australian side is in their side are above thirty.comparing the indian side consists of players in their twenty's.the indian domestic structure is weak.we gove more importance on batting more than fielding or bowling.we don't have grounds with grass for young emerging cricketers to strengthen their fielding abilities.

hello binny29 I have read your topic over the fielding of Indian cricket. I think you are right. There was a time when Team India really done bad fielding and for the same we have lost of so many winning match. But since last couple of months you have noticed that Team India is brilliantly fielding and young energetic chaps are really doing nice fielding & I appreciate their spirit. During Asia cup match between India -Pak you might have noticed how brilliant catch was taken. It is excellent. Your allegation is not true at present. Whether you will agree or not? pkc3000

agree with you to some extent but the main problem with the team is not fielding but with batting if the first wicket falls without any run then starts the trouble all of them fall without even making an effort to stand and bat they need to have self confidence also the team plays as if the wohle match is depended on sachin they need to get iut of this illusion play practically surely they would win

You are absolutely right that indians are lagging behind a lot in terms of field is concerned and it was clearly evident in this series, when compared to the australian fielding.

Yes, india's fielding is very important. I would say that they are having bad fielding right now because it has considerably increased from the past, but it is not enough as per the standards of the other teams prevails. Aussies and south africans are saving a lot of singles and hence reducing the score of the opponent team which is a technique that indian's need to follow.

I agree with you that India need to improve on fielding a lot. We are much behind our competitors in this matter. Most teams have improved much in fielding and they save lot of runs in the field. This puts pressure on the bastmen and helps to get them out. And CATCHES WIN MATCHES is old saying which is perfectly true. So the other way round DROP CATCHES AND LOSE MATCHES is equally true. We have fielding coach Robin Singh but I do not think that he has come up to the expectations fully. Perhaps the senior players are becoming liability in this matter.

i believe indian captaincy is the cause of concern..... team has every thingh changing from coach and captain to spinner.............team needs stability ,co operation, and more importantly consistancy
